In accordance with our policy with respect to the issuance of NYSPEC support or opposition memos (MIS/MIO), I have received requests to issue support memos for bills that have passed both houses. If you oppose NYSPEC issuing a support memo for any of the following bills, you must notify me via email by the close of business on Friday, June 21. If you have no opposition to the issuance, you need not respond.
President Philip Valenti of the Transit Supervisors Organization (TWU Local 106) requests an MIS for A7563 (Pheffer-Amato) / S7224 (Gounardes) which would provide the “death gamble” benefit to certain NYC Transit Employees.
President Steve Mikos of the NYS Court Officers Association requests an MIS for S8788 (Jackson) / A9540 (Pheffer Amato) which relates to age and service eligibility requirements for ordinary retirement for members of the unified court system.
President Frank Conti of the Port Authority PBA requests an MIS for A6834 (Jean-Pierre) / S6623 (Scarcella-Spanton) which relates to military leave for all represented and non-represented persons employed by the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey.
