HOTEL REGISTRATION INFORMATION
In order to alleviate the many issues we have encountered with room reservations in the past few years, NYSPEC’s Convention Committee and I have instituted a new registration process. Please read this entire message to understand how this process will work to ensure your registration experience is seamless.Once you register with the hotel, send an email to pmeringolo@nyspec.org with the names and titles of each person that you have registered, along with confirmation number for each room. This will help to confirm that those registrations are in our block and receiving the group rate. If you book more than one room under the same name, the hotel uses the same confirmation number for all rooms booked, and that causes confusion. We prefer that each room has a name assigned; however, if you must register all rooms under the same name, we still need you to include the name of each person for the rooms you booked in the email to me.If you are told the room block is full and you register people out of the block at a higher rate, we also need those names, titles, and corresponding confirmation numbers. This way, if and when cancellations do occur, we may be able to move that reservation into the room block.NYSPEC has experienced significant growth over the past several years, and it has become necessary to institute this new policy to avoid our incurring substantial surcharges resulting from members not following registration protocols. We are hopeful that this new process will help resolve these issues.The Official Dates of the 2023 Annual Meeting / Convention are Friday, December 1, through Wednesday, December 6. There is limited availability for any nights outside the conference dates (pre- or post-).This year’s block rate is $208.00, plus a flat $20.00 resort fee. ($228.00 per night, plus taxes.)

It is important to know that, after October 7, even if block rooms are still available, the block rate may no longer be guaranteed, and it is possible the Hotel will be sold out and you would be directed to another hotel.
