I am pleased to report that we have a request for a new union to join the New York State Public Employee Conference.
Richard Hassmiller is the President of the Sergeants Benevolent Association of the Port Authority Police of NY & NJ Inc.
He represents 220 Sergeants that work in the airports, marine terminals and ports, the PATH rail system, tunnels and bridges between New York and New Jersey, the Port Authority bus terminal in Manhattan and the World Trade Center.
In accordance with existing procedure as per our by-laws if anyone has an objection to accepting this application for membership you are to notify me via email and state your reasons for rejection of membership.
There is no need to respond if you agree with acceptance of membership.
If I do not hear any negative response by close of business Friday August 20, 2021, I will proceed to notify President Hassmiller that his application for membership was approved and welcome him into our organization
