As another annual meeting and conference fast approaches, this is a reminder that it is an election year for all the officers of the New York State Public Employee Conference. Nominations for these offices will be conducted on Monday, November 15, and the election will take place on Tuesday, November 16, in accordance with our bylaws, which you may view on our website (Article VI - Elections).
Please note the important requirement that, in an anticipated absence of the leader of a union or organization, that leader may, by written authorization to the Recording Secretary, empower a member of his/her organization to vote in his/her behalf, provided that written authorization is provided on the union's or organization's letterhead, signed by the leader, and notarized.
Many of you have been asking about the agenda for the convention.
You will be receiving another email this afternoon or tomorrow morning with the tentative agenda and information on preparing for our 2022 legislative agenda.
