From the release of the room block on September 7 thru today September 28
( 3 weeks) there have been numerous emails, texts and phone calls to the staff at the Caribe Hilton to get thru this year's registrations which to say the least has been a nightmare.
That process is now complete
If your reservation was made through me, and there were many, if you have not already done so you should call and confirm your dates rates, etc. With all the emails back and forth with the hotel, no doubt something could have been missed. If you encounter a problem confirming your reservation you should speak with Ingrid at the Caribe Hilton 787-721-0303 between the hours of 10:30am to 5:30pm, Monday to Friday only. I know many of you have already confirmed and I thank you for doing so.
At this point any President who responded to my emails with their individual requests regarding rooms, have in one way or the other been accommodated. The goal was to ensure that every dues paying member was able to obtain a room for the President and possibly their legislative director at the group rate.
It is now time to move on to formulating the agenda and organizing the sponsored events.
The convention committee has been appraised of all the issues encountered with this year's registrations and will be giving a full report at the convention and instituting new policies for future conventions to ensure that this will never happen again.
