I have attached an upcoming Fundraiser that you may want to consider supporting in the event you may not have seen it.
NYSPEC does not have a PAC but it is important that I bring to your attention a fundraiser being held for a legislator who has been extremely supportive of Labor.
As you know we lost a great legislator in Peter Abbate, Chair of Governmental Employees. However we were fortunate in getting in his place another great legislator who now Chairs Governmental Employees, Assemblywoman Stacey Pheffer-Amato. From the moment she became Chair of the Committee she has been supportive of many labor bills. She was instrumental along with Senator Jackson in getting their pension enhancement legislation into the budget. We always have the opportunity to speak with her and her staff on all issues important to Public Employees.
